I figure I might try to have one more Gathering before the bad weather sets in, so I thought November would be a good time, kind of like last year. I talked to Tom this morning, and we are both open every Saturday. Let`s hear your thoughts, and all the Saturdays you are free, and we can set a date. I was thinking maybe McKinley Woods again.

I will try and get this day off. That is only an hour and a half away from me. I know you told me what you guys did last time and it sounded fun! Is there camping available at that park?

No camping, we just get there around 8 and make a day of it. It would be nice to meet you.

I will try and make it.

I was thinking if there was camping at that park I would camp there the night before. I read online there is good mountain biking there so I would like to try that. Get there the Friday before, do some biking/hiking and camp that night and meet you guys in the AM.

I would love to see some of your knives that I have been looking at on your site too.

Hi John -

I would be in, the only weekend that I could not do it is the 12/13.

best regards -

I'd love to make a gathering, but you guys live too dang far away for a weekend road trip.
Have fun & someone shake John's hand for me please.

Come on outdoorsfan, get to checking that calendar! Get on the phone to Uncle Bill and give him the low-down! Hope you both can make it! You'll be sorry if you don't! I got a couple of goodies to trade for those bottle caps! If nothing else, drop me an e-mail, and let me know how your trip to St. Louis went!

Where has Mr. Sogetsu been lately? Surely they let him have a weekend off some times! Come on out Bud we'd enjoy catching up with you again! Maybe you might consider leaving your knives at home though, or bring some large field dressings with you! I'm only kidding! Hope to see you there!

Also, anyone heard anything from TheZenful1?

All you people that have been hiding in the closet for so long, come on out and get some sun, hopefully!

I emailed Steve, Chuck, Mat (from the first gathering), and Chris (LMT66) this morning.

I think I am pretty open just pick a date. That spot is like 10 minutes from Uncle Bill's and he usually can make it as long as he has a bit of notice.

I will shoot you an email frontiertom. :D

It looks like I am pretty open for November as far as Saturdays. I'd like to say I haven't been around due to me being busy with work, but it is the complete opposite. :(

If I'm in the neighborhood I will be sure to stop by.

John, thanks for the email. :) I'm around, just haven't been frequenting BF. Have had alot on the plate so to speak... aaand, interest has gone down due to a lack of in depth, good meat n potatoes information over at WS&S since it's been moderated to hell (my opinion). So, I've been perusing over other sites and forums, trying to build some knowledge base towards knowing what I missed learning from my Grandparents seeing they passed away while I was still young.

I'm interested. It's been too long since I've seen everyone. Let me know what date, 5th or 19th and I'll have to ensure I get the time off.

Hey all, the 5th will work for me, and McKinley Woods works too! If everyone agrees with the 5th, what would you guys like to do for lunch? Hot dogs again, that worked out pretty well last year, and myself, I could probably eat hot dogs about every day! How about if I bring the hot dogs and the buns? Would ballparks work alright with everyone? Somebody with a decent cooler leave room in their cooler for me to put the Hot dogs to keep them cool until we need them! You think about four packages will work? I can carry the buns! If someone else will bring the ketchup, mustard, and some onions, and or anything else you like on your dogs! Somebody bring some chips? I'll throw a few plastic spoons, and forks in the bag but I don't know if I can find a knife! I'll also throw some paper towels in the bag (in case Steve cuts himself again)! Ha! Ha! If this is O.K with everyone else just let me know! And anything else that anyone wants to bring out food wise, feel free! Do you guys want me to bring out the freezer pickles again?

And as a matter of fact, Sean can you ask Uncle Bill, if he would please bring my freezer pickle container back to me from last year! I left it in his cooler when we left the gathering site at the park, and then forgot to get it out once we got to the parking lot!

Anything else I can do just feel free to let me know! Oh, I also have a twelve pack of Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer that I will bring, again, if some one can put it in their cooler for me, and transport it to the site?

I'll be watching to hear from everyone!

Later,

W&SS has been slow since the split into two forums.

Let`s do the 5th. Everybody in for this?

Hi guys -

The 5th works for me.

I can bring my big "wheeled" cooler, and onions, relish and mustard. (Who puts ketchup on a dog?) :^)

best regards -

I'm always in favor of a fifth. I hope I will be nearby.
