Anyone use a combo edge knife for hunting?

I could only get an ontario TAK 1 D2 in a combo edge.

Do you think that will work for quartering a deer or will it cause problems?

I would wager heavily that it will work just fine even though I haven't used one for hunting specifically. I have used serrated and combo edged for tons of stuff.

I wouldn't mind having a combo edge. It would probably come in handy cutting through ribs,pelvis and other bones if didn't want to carry a small saw or buy one. I used a serrated knife edge to cut through ribs last year on a deer but any big sharp plain edge could have done it also. I think the serrated edge would be good for quartering it will saw through bone and also be able to do everything else. Also thinking of getting a TAK 1.Like the Rat 7.
