Anyone use a Riverswest Sole Survivor pak blanket or tundra blanket? I have a set of their original hunting pants and jacket and they are solid performers and very waterproof. I am looking for a blanket nice enough for the house and to be thrown into the truck or pack for camping. Granted the majority of the time it will be used to keep me or the kids warm on a hunting trip.

My priorities are in order: warmth, windproof, waterproof, weight, comfortable and lastly looks. ROM 48" x 80" size wise.
I've seen the kifaru wobie and cannot justify the expense. Budget is under $75.
I've considered the wool blanket, but it falls short in many categories. the survival tarps are OK and I keep those in the truck, but they also fall short in comfort and size.

I have some of the Rivers West outdoor wear.
The Ambush jacket and the frontier pants.
I have found them to be excellent. I wear them hunting and I have NEVER been wet when using them. I have hunted in some god awful weather including serious downpours as well as full daylong soaking rains and come away dry. I usually layer up underneath and it keeps me comfortable down to upper 20's - lower 30's.

The blanket you are referring to I don't have any experience with but if it is anything like the outerwear I am putting it on my wish list.

The material does have a "nap" to it but it is very thin not like a thick fleece. The majority of the warmth comes from the water and windproof qualities of the fabric.

If you get one please update us. I think Rivers West is one of those undiscovered companies with a great product waiting to break out.
Good luck

Ordered the blanket. Unfortunately I am stuck at work all of next week, but expect a review once I have time this month.

Looking forward to this, thanks for guinea pigging it for us. :D

I'll also be looking forward to a review. I just happened to put a wool blanket in the tool box of my truck today for that "just in case" time when I can pull it out.

I currently use a MIL poncho and liner. Works a charm against the rain and cold, but I look forward to your review as well.

Hey RWT, looks like an interesting product and I'm looking forward to your review. Any idea what the weight is?

Wife tells me it arrived this week. I am stuck in California for work until tomorrow night. I'll do a full write up and specs by the end of next week.

"New" blanket arrived today. I'll do a review over Thanksgiving and post

Busy with work. I am out again all of next week - look for a full write up after next week.
