Anyone use an EZESharp Pro Blade Sharpening System?

This sharpening system does look interesting. I think I might like this system more than I would the Edge Pro simply because of the fact that the system seems to be capable of accepting 2"X8" diamond stones. No messy water either. It will be interesting to see what this systems sells for when it becomes more available here in the states.

I have been using an Ezesharp for some time with impressive results. Previously used a Lansky which was good for pocket knives, but wanted something for kitchen and hunting knives. I found the Ezesharp very easy to use. I especially like the oil stone holders which can fit almost any normal stones, which I have a lot of or I glue a piece of wood to some of my smaller stones to make them fit. With a full size stone in the holder it sharpens very fast, even when setting a new bevel and previously sharpened knives come up with a few strokes. I tend to leave it set at about 20 degrees and get a good edge with a diamond which I then finish with a normal fine stone. When I want to impress I then spend a couple minutes with a super fine natural stone. I am still often surprised just how sharp I can get some of these knives. Although I'm Australian I have no association with Ezesharp, I just like my knives to be very sharp.

Yes, even a 6 incher looks small to the ezesharp. I've used mine only twice so far, most of the time I use my Spyderco.

I like the system, but I have had some difficulty at times getting the same angle on both sides of the flip. It must be an art that I haven't mastered yet. I am planning on purchasing the wedge so that should remedy that problem. I really like my edge pro also. Edge pro for small knives, eze sharp for large. IMHO

I prefer systems with a clamp and the Lansky for small knives, ezesharp for big knives and Sharpmaker for all others.
