Been thinking about trying dry lube on my pivots. Seems like it would make sense. It drys up so it doesnt attract a bunch of crap. did a google search to see if there were reviews about it for knives, didnt really find much. So does anyone use a dry lube? Whats a good brand to try? Does it work as good as regular wet lube? Thanks.

I had a bottle of tuf glide laying around and tried it on a leek I received in a trade. Seems to work great. Less is more and let the stuff dry over night.

So when using dry lube. After putting it on the pivot, washers etc. let it completely dry before you use the knife?

I use Remington Drilube. Im happy with it. Its not the slickest stuff out there but it works. Best of all, it seems to keep the dirt and lint from sticking. This is really nice on my work knife (delica). I don't take it apart (its a pita). I just hose it down, wipe out the crap, and then give it another light spray. Then let dry. It does kinda smell, especially when wet. Like kerosene

KyleMS11, I've used Tuff-glide and Nano oil with success. After applying, I work the action several times then let it set awhile. The nano oil won't dry out , but the tuff- glide does seem to dry out a lot but still work. My favorite is nano oil on my EDC RHK. YMMV.

Yup!

Any dry lube with Teflon is great. The liquid is merely a carrier for the teflon particles. When the liquid evaporates it leaves the teflon particles to lubricate (much like graphite). I use Finish Line Dry w/ Teflon.

I just tried tuff glide on my 3 inch xm flipper. The blade fires out like a cannon. Its still wet but the action is super smooth so hopefully when it drys it will still be like that.
