Anyone Use Pocket Clip with Endura 4 FFG?

I just received this knife a few days ago, and when I used the pocket clip on my jeans, I could hear and feel the rough bi-directional texturing just completing tearing up my inner pocket lining. Now I'm wondering if any of you who have been carrying the Endura 4 this way for a while can attest to whether it tears up the pocket with continued use or if it just makes the "scary" sound without any harm. Should I maybe bend out the pocket clip a little? It seems pretty normal to me, only the FRN texturing seems to be catching the cloth. My two pairs of jeans and I thank you.

Be nice, Mr. Devil. :)

I don't think the Endura will harm your pocket, but you can always loosen up the clip just a little if it bugs you. The idea there is to barely tweak it, because its way easy to overdo it. Better to do it too little than too much.

I would not be a happy camper if I lost one of my Enduras, the lip is just the right tension to keep my precious with me. The FRN texture is excellent for pocket traction, might even be better than grippy G10, that is a pocket killer. ;)

Haha nice! No... I wasn't kidding, except for the "scary" sound. It isn't really scary. Now that 3.5" blade could be though. I just was wondering if the Endura 4 was renowned like the textured g-10 as pocket killers. If that were the case, then I'd just take the clip off and throw it in my pocket. I would like to carry the knife with the clip, but can't afford to tear up my nice $10 Goodwill jeans (it's a special designer jean brand I got on sale).

I don't have a FRN Endura sitting in front of me, but if the FRN Stretch and Delica are any comparison, the pocket clip sits over a flat, oval shaped Spyderco logo. It would seem to me that such a positioning would help to alleviate pocket wear.

I carried an Endura 4 for a while (and still do occasionally) and never had any pocket wear issues.

Tactical or Work pants with reinforced pockets.

I would rather have a damaged pocket than a lost knife.

That said, the only thing gentler on my pockets than the FRN Enduras are the SS handled knives I have.

Ok thanks fellas that's all I was asking for, some experience. I'll trust what your years of carrying say instead of my initial impression.

Just a suggestion, you can remove the clip and lightly sand any exceptionally rough part of the FRN that would be under the clip and see if that smoothes things up for you. An Endura is too long to fit comfortably in the pocket without a clip. Also, keep that clip tight and don't loosen it or you might lose your knife.
