Curious about the Seychelle Water Filter or their Advanced level Filter with Purification. Big claims but not much noise about them here or on other forums. Learned about them on a Survivial TV program.

Relatively inexpensive but "suppose to be" effective???

I'm currently dialed in technology and skill wise on water procurement for the Wilderness - no problem there, got it covered...but what concerns me is my work related travel which takes me to both large and small (primatively) small urban areas and most often wilderness area to work. I question some of the water I drink in these 'unknown' environments. At home I have my water tested annually. But once I leave home I have no clue what is in the water and I don't trust bottled water and many municiple water treatment. A customer of mine is a big time Water guy and travels extensively to teach. He and another Grad level microbiologist have basically put the fear of God in me about what is going on with many of our treatment process/facilities in this nation. Anyway, I digress...

I carry a Steripen and MSR Filter when I travel (which get's my bag inspected by TSA about 1/4 times through). They're fine but they take up space, are battery and electronic dependant, and the filter is always getting my bag inspected. So, I'm thinking of their 27 oz water bottle with the standard filter (for everyday use) and taking along an Advanced Filter/Purifier for a SHTF weather related situations.

I've spent two seperate nights in airports already and been stranded a time or two. The problem is I"m not home and don't have home survivial resources. Just short of going over to one of your homes to camp, I need the ability to treat water in an urban environment that may be tainted.

Any suggestions or recommendation on Seychelle technology is apprecated. Oh, and watch the Mickey Rooney videos promoting their products - old but funny.
