I picked one up the other day and was thinking about putting it on a Ruger 77 22 bolt rifle. Variable power up to 4.5. You shine a flashlight down the scope and the crosshairs glow for low light use. I haven't put it on the rifle yet. I bought the rifle years ago with a Burris scope that had very fine crosshairs with a very small dot in the middle. In lower light, you lose the crosshairs and fine dot. Thought I might try the Bushnell on it. No iron sights on the rifle so a scope is a must.

I have one on a Remington .308 model 7400. It should work fine on a .22. I have hunted on low light days and the scope is OK during daylight hours.

I wouldn't recommend it for any calibre larger than a .308 or 30.06.

Hi, I have 2 of these both are 3x9"s i have one on a 50cal muzzleloader the other on a CZ 22 magnum, I like these alot with the design of the heavy stepped reticle never had an issue with them. The 1 on the 22 came off my 300 mag it got an upgrade but not because of any problems just wanted to upgrade that rifle... So i cant see any problems with mounting on a 77/22. Hope this was a help.

Thanks for the replies. The power is low. I figured a 4x is what I have used in the past for a 22. I won't be making super long shots. I was just wondering about the impulsive buy. It seems to gather light O.K.
