Anyone use the vapor emitting rust preventer from Bullfrog?

I have been putting the foam impregnated rust preventer in the gun safe. I have not had a problem with rust. I replace them each year and also use a golden rod as well. I have also been using Break Free on the rifles. Does anyone know if I should just let the rust preventer work and not wipe the rifles down with oil? Would it be better to leave them alone?

i dont even go through all that trouble (foam stuff) and my stuff is pretty rust free. we have shotties that are older than me and i am 33. you must be in a very humid area. NC is pretty damn humid in the summer and early fall.

All I do is clean them, wipe them down with a rust preventative, and store them in gun socks- inside a gun safe. This has worked for me in coastal Connecticut and in the SF bay area where I currently live. My personal experience is that condensation formed when going from a cold environment (outside) to a warm environment (inside) is your biggest concern with respect to rust. If the gun is clean, dry, and at ambient temperature when it is put away then rust should not be a big worry. Following this I have stored knives made from O1 steel in their leather sheaths for years without a bit of rust formation... These are my experiences, yours may vary...

I really have not had a problem with rust. I was just curious about the oiling of guns that had been in the rust preventing vapor. I have used Break Free for years with no problems. Thanks for the responses.
