First of all, happy Thanksgiving to those of us logging on full of bird meat and contented.

It's that chock full feeling that makes me think, "do any of fat/carb blockers or semi-ergo aids like DietFuel,Hydroxycut, or TrimSpa actually help lose weight?"

For those not familiar with these products, they claim that you can "eat normally" and lose weight, more or less.

Anyone have experience, good or bad, using one of these types of products?

What's been working for you in the battle of the bulge?

TrimSpa works, I bought a bottle after seeing someone talking about it on Howard Stern late one night, Ordered a month supply on Ebay, and lost 17lbs. Just ran out last week, I need to pick up some more.

(Edited to add)
I used to use Hydroxycut when I was in the Military, It makes you to jittery!!

Seriously? Food and cardio. Over the last couple of years I started to get a little fat even though I have been exercising regularly. My wife was stealthily buying me bigger pants and I hardly noticed. I just passed through the big four-zero this summer so I decided to get serious about my waistline. I use a heart rate monitor to make sure I am in the proper "fat burning" zone. I do about 30 minutes on the stationary bike in the morning three or four times per week then 40 or 50 minute sessions on Saturday and Sunday. I started eating five small meals a day. I'm actually eating less but feeling full because of the frequent eating. I'm also continuing my weight training four times a week in the evening. On those days I take a couple of scoops of protein powder in water about an hour before bedtime. This is to ensure my relatively low calorie diet provides enough protein for muscle recovery. Since August I have lost 25 pounds. I am back to the same size pants I was wearing when I graduated basic training in 1980. I take one day a week off exercise (Wednesday) and one day a week (usually Saturday) I go out to a restaurant and eat whatever I want. Last Saturday it was the Chinese Buffet. This weekend I think I will hit McDonalds (I hope it won't make me fat like that kid who is suing them :)). Good luck on your program. I think it takes some experimenting to see what works for each individual.

TheBadGuy--don't tell me it was the Cabbie weight loss that sold you on Trim Spa:) (though I have to admit it is a pretty convincing case!)

Rev.Pete, that's great advice. I think one of the revolutionary things introduced into mainstream weight loss in the last few years has been the idea of small, frequent meals, so I'm glad to see it's working for you...as for me, I've been avoiding the fact that calories and exercise are the real key to weight loss, as you can see:-)

Thanks, guys....best wishes for the holiday season.

Loosing weight is a balance of eating correctly
and not being a couch potato. Anything in a bottle
is nothing more than snake oil.

In the USA we all eat to much of the wrong things
then want to spend money to loose weight so we
can eat more of the wrong things and not feel
guilty about it.

Eating correctly is often cheaper anyway. :D

Hi Guys, I just started on trim spa yesterday, and yes The reason I bought it was from seeing the weight loss achieved by one Crazy Cabbie:) . So far it seems to be curbing my appetite with a legal methamphetimine type rush. I am pretty sick of being so fat, even though I hit the weights three times a week I am still a fat bastid.
I know most of the weight loss pills they sell are junk, But after reading about this Trim Spa stuff I had to try it.

I am currently a dainty 309LBS I will be a happy SOB if I get down to 250LBS.
