Anyone used Bloodstop?

Was at store and saw this on shelf.

Anyone have first hand experience with it??

Never heard of BloodStop but if its anything like QuikClot, another probably more well known hemostatic agent, I'd say its a sound idea to include it in your BOB or trauma kit. I'm not really sure you can screw up some of these medical supplies... Bargain brand medical supplies usually do just about the same thing as the name brand only at half the cost.

Be advised that the military has suspended its use of some of these blood clotting agents for various reasons. "WoundStat" appears to present the most serious issues. More info here:

^ Thanks for putting that up. I have heard that hemostats were being reconsidered in terms of their real effect on trauma.

Thansk for the update.

This Bloodstop is a gauze/film that gel-i-fies on contact.

Doesn't appear to be exothermic. I'll try them on my next kitchen accident...
