Most reviews I have seen is just pple doing a tabletop reviews and light use of these knives. Is anyone using them hard and how are they holding up?I went over on knife forums to bark river forums and reviews but couldnt find anything realistic ....

I bought this one used, and have continued to work it hard.

Yes! My Esee Izula and my BRKT PSK are equally amazing. I, somehow, even like the PSK better. Which is a BIG thing, given the well earned amount of respect i have for the Izzie.

I just wish I could improve my rather poor convex sharpening skills.

I know it's not a popular thing to say but I have seen a bark river fail miserably in the field. Heat treat was off or something and a dime size chunk came out of the blade. It happens.

I guess its the luck factor LOL !My Vest pocket bowie had really uneven grinds so I had to fix it myself ,but the heat treatment and performance is superb, even though its 1085 steel!very tough and sharp, chops and cuts really well!Uneven and unfinished grinds should be a NO NO for a knife of around 200$!

i dont know how realistic you need reviews to be. ive seen them tested to failure ive seen them perform amazingly well and my own have done as well as anything ive owned in all manor of tasks and still hold a shaving edge. add the fact that they have a great customer service and stand behind there products as well as any others and probubly better than most. of course theres detractors and always seem to know someone who knows someone whos bark river chipped or failed in some manor, personally i think it all goes to a couple failures on you tube that detractors glom onto as being there own personal experience. im guessing most owners dont spend 200 on a knife to go out and destroy it to prove its worth. its much cheaper to get a bk or cs if your looking for a blade to abuse. they break too but fewer tears get shed.
