anyone uses himalayan katana for Iaido here?
if you do, I want to hear your opinion of it, I know it's sheath is leather, so except that,
I was looking for sword for Iaido, but most ex-WWII-japanese sword is close to 2000 bucks, or modern sword is way too heavy SS stuff,
hey, anyone practice kendo here? I am 1st Dan still,

I only tried using mine a couple times, and then, very slowly (since I haven't practiced iaido/battojutsu much). The fit in my scabbard was quite tight, but I believed that a good thing, since the draw should start with "breaking" the seal with the thumb.

I believe the HI kat is a little on the heavy side, but I liked that. It's a wild, strange beauty, but I believe it will be even more beautiful in action.

I named mine "Esmeralda", and I'm glad she's going to a good home.
