Anyone using,
The Extreme Judgement, Shadow Scout or
Thru Hiker? Each of those blades have sold well since they have been offered this year. Just curious of the feedback, how are they being used and preforming? If Cliff hasn't got his yet, he should any day, then we know at least one Extreme Judgement will receive some EXTREME abuse.

As an aside one of the guys I work with has developed a product that I feel many would be interested in. It is advertised as a "Patrotic Display", it is a 2/3 scale M1 rifle with and American Flag positioned in the barrel, and a stake in the butt of the gun to place it in the yard etc. It makes an attractive display, as well as making a statement about what we believe in and are proud of. Andy has just begun marketing - I thought some of you may help get the word out. Here's Andy's WEB site: http://www.howplastics.com/index.htm

The shop is a busy place right now, happy holidays to all!

I've got the thru hiker and love it. it cuts so well, its really amazing. my only "complaint" is that the thumb ramp could use some more traction. the ridges on the thumb ramp do nothing as they're too small and too rounded. i think the crinkle coating kinda fills in the "valleys" of the ridges and makes the whole thing less tractable. overall it's one of the best neckers ever!

I use my shadow scout for just about everything and it gets alot of use in the kitchen. It feels really small when you hold it as I am used to Busses etc but it's the first knife I have actually been able to use alot, it's great in the kitchen. It's my favourite fixed blade. Haven't used my first strike yet, havent needed to.

I want to try out the thru hiker too.

Thanks
Brendan

Brendan, I've been thinking about picking up a Shadow Scout, and was wondering about tip strength (as I tend to use the tips of knives a lot). Is the tip pretty sturdy?

Hell yeah, mine is even got a swedge so is smaller than the usual tip but it is very strong, put it this way. You won't break it unless you put the tip in a vice and bend it with a torsion bar, even then you would be hard pressed.

Can't recommend Fehman enough !!

They are definitely on my list. I want an EJ and a neck knife to mount on the sheath. ANd I want SS for my grab and go day hiking knife. Eric's stuff is amazing, as we can tell by the wait time growing!

Thanks, Brendan. I owned a Final Judgement, so I know about the excellence of Fehrman's blades. I just want to get something a little smaller. My only (very minor) gripe about the FJ was the handle width, since I've been cursed with small paws. I like the design of the SS a lot.
