Anyone with experience from using it?
It is roughly twice the price of the Grizzly but still in a fairly low price segment when looking at new units.
I am kind of between this, a handheld unit from TX Instruments (2nd pic) which is a little cheaper than the Grizzly, and keep looking for used units..

Noticing the URL, I was going to say that a superficial tester is not what you want. However, looking at the product page, the "superficial" and the "HS1" in the URL appear to be a typo - the product is "HR1". Confusing.

I see you are in sweden so perhaps the hr150 is not available to yo. I suspect the linked unit is just fine. Interesting the specs say net weight is 90kg. That is over twice weight of hr150.

The Grizzly, under another brand/name, I can get shipped to me from pretty near by. I have just been reading mixed opinions on it. That combined with "you get what you pay for" got me looking at this unit instead. It is just being introduced and has a temporary 24% discount on it (so normal price is appr 250% that of the Grizzly), and it's available just a 10 min drive from me which is nice both before and after buying. It is also traceable back to the Sinowon homepage, and it looks like a serious company. I have no idea who makes the "Grizzly".

The Grizzly is a Chinese import like many of their machines. Both testers could be made in the same Chinese Factory wearing different Paint Jobs which is not uncommon. If you can actually put your hands on a working model I suggest you do that...Like test driving a car...they all look good some run better than others and you can ask questions while looking it over without buying.

Yeah, if the sinowon is nearby, I'd try to have a look at the inside and see how the moving parts look. If they look the same as the HR150, cast metal parts I'd probably just go with the HR150 at half the price.
I've also heard people hate on the grizzly but dont really understand why. I have 2, and once they are calibrated (the newer one was dead on upon delivery) they do what they are supposed to, which is read a number. I have both the provided and lab quality calibration blocks and guess what? They read correctly, every time. If it doesn't it has always been an issue on my end. I've gotten to where I trust them.
That being said the Sinowon guys look like they really know their testers and being the nerd I am, I'm kind of excited to see a new product on the market.

Thanks for the input. Yes, I know the Grizzly is also a Chinese unit. So yeah, I'm a little concerned about the possibility that the Sinowon is very similar on the inside, and hence not worth the extra. But if the build quality is better, sure.
I actually sent Sinowon an email earlier today asking them about possible differences. I'll get back here once I have their answer.

I'm a Westerner so there is still some Stigma about Chinese made products...Not to say that ALL Chinese products are Bad or Inferior, but the "Questionable" manufacturing practices, and Lack of Labor Laws along with fair wages push me toward other products. I mentioned earlier that it's not Uncommon for Machinery or Tools of this Nature to be manufactured in the Same Facility as it's competitors product just different paint and maybe different knob/dial gauge placement it's just a fact that is how it's done. Any company pushing a product will tell you they have the best product on the market it's "Marketing Hype".

As it happens, the dealer selling the "Grizzly" (known as Oxford 150A over here) was giving a 15% discount just this weekend and offering free shipping. So I pulled the trigger on one, the price $860 shipped was just so much less than the Sinowon that I could not debate it.

Remember these are Lab Quality Instruments treat it as such and you will have years of trouble free service.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
