I was looking at this knife as an all around bushcrafter- couple of things jump out- hidden tang- is this going to be a concern?

it's a scandi/convex grind- interesting- seems advantageous, but maybe not???

I like the blade profile, length and it's thick, but not overly thick- the handle seems generous

didn't find much on this knife searching

thanks in advance

Mike

Bark River’s stainless Bushcrafter, I see the Hidden Tang/Convex Scandi as Mike Stewart’s nod to Scandinavian style knives in general.

It is much like its cousin the Aurora in size and shape.

The Bark River’s 12C27 is a very tough stainless that is up to the task.

As far as Hidden Tang Concerns? I use all my Hidden Tang Knives hard and have never really had an issue.

The Nebula is no longer in production, so it might be hard to find.

thanks a bunch- they have so many knives in the "medium-ish" size, bushcrafter style it's hard to chose :)

not complaining mind you, but would like to make a somewhat intelligent choice :D

I hear there is a new Bark River Bushcrafter in the works,

…a “Little Brother” to the Aurora.

It will come in a bit smaller then Nebula/Aurora, but have a larger handle then the Northstar.

Mike,

I now officially hate you. ;)

Sounds like a great knife all around. I know that the KF H&C Knife was just about perfect for me - this sounds along that vein.

Now this might be worth a look, especially if its' in 3V :D

Kind regards
