I have a new Ontario Spec-Plus SP-14 Tanto 10. Never used or carried of course, but I got bored and tried to fix the blade profile. Looked like it was sharpened with a file and the grind was uneven. All I managed to do was make it dull as hell and scratched the coating. Does anyone want an "odd-job?" I'd like to have the coating touched up with maybe some steel-wool, or take it down to a dull grey finish. I'd like satin finish, but it is 1/4" thick 1095 carbon steel and would probably rust if I looked at it cross-eyed.
I'd also like to have the edge profile "fixed" and sharpened. I'd like to have it all fixed up and ready to go in case my folder's locking mech.'s aren't Y2K compliant.
How much am I looking at, and who wants a dinky job like this? -AR
BTW, it only cost me $28!!!
