I've been going through my things lately, and I've found some old knives that I'd started making, but never really finished.
The one I'm offering is a Puukko style knife with about a 5" blade, brass guard, and a tung oil finished Red Maple burl handle. The fit and finish on it are pretty unimpressive, but it is a very useful tool. I'd originally made it as a kinda woodsloafing knife, but lost focus, and moved on before I could complete the project. More knives coming and going, packing up and going to the slope for 2-6 weeks at a crack, etc.
In the tradition of Sarge (damn I miss him!) I do have a few honor based things I'd like to request in exchange for this knife.
1. Make a sheath for it.
2. Use it. carry it. and lemme know how it works out.
3. Pics of the completed project and the knife in use are a bonus.
