My Spydie Delica is nice but just a ....weeee... bit too thin. Great in the pocket, but when I take the clip off it's hard to open when my fingers are dry as there is not much to grab while opening.

So.....last night I ran a bead of Elmer's Stix-All along just the edge. Today it seems to be JUST the answer. I have no idea how it will last.

Elmer's Stix-All is the ONLY silicone (that I've found) that is "dishwasher safe" ...and.... will NOT melt styrofoam. All others I have ever tried would melt styro. This won't. It seems to stick like....well....glue. It's clear and I don't THINK it would be hard to remove by TRYING TO. As far as my half-cured bead is today, it does not have any indication of wanting to peel off even under fairly good pressure and manipulation.

If it does work, I'll letcha know. But today it is like greased lightning to open it even with dry fingers.

Anyone want to try something similar and add results to the thread?

I will have NO GUNK ON MY KNIVES and anyway, I don't need it. My knives always OPEN whenever I THINK THEY SHOULD BE OPEN. Purely by the POWER of MY MIND. :grumpy:

I made these two handles by molding two part epoxy putty right over the liners and painting with leather dye, they have held well. Epoxy putty is easy to mold with wet fingers and is tough when dry.
