Hi All,

Anyone think it'd be cool if CRK offered a Carbon Fiber inlay option? Maybe a nice set of options black, blue and red?

Blue twill would probably look killer paired with the blue thumbstud and spacer (maybe mix in a blue spirograph Damascus blade while we're at it...).:thumbup:

I'd love to get a black carbon fiber Mnandi to match my creme ivory one. Pretty please with sugar on top?

I LOVE blue twill G-10!! I have a few knives with it.

Why don't you just get the African Blackwood Mnandi to match your Ivory one?

Kind regards,

Jos

personally, i do not consider micarta a plastic. i would love a micarta mnandi to match the small and large micarta sebbies. that's all. like a nice little family. :)

No way. CF looks good from a distance, but I've found it to be way too slick for a good grip - especially with wet hands. Actually, I agree with those who say Micarta, at least in terms of all-around "gripability".

NO! Go away!:mad::grumpy:
...
:eek: plastic on a Mnandi?????:confused: WHY???

Maybe because your tastes in terms of knives aren't universal...maybe because it would fit OUR tastes in terms of options...maybe some other guys dislikes ivory, mamoth, bones and other dead animal stuff on knives...
BTW I don't understand your post, are you in an obligation to buy such a CF or Micarta knife if you don't like it ? Don't think so.

That's crazy talk, Le Seb. Obviously if Jos doesn't like it then that's the way it should be.

Thanks Jos! I have considered either a african blackwood or ebony Mnandi to pair/contrast my ivory Mnandi but I think carbon fiber would be a better contrast. I think of the carbon fiber as being the yang to the yin of ivory; ivory is biological, carbon fiber is totally artificial; ivory is old, carbon fiber is new; ivory has a natural random grain, carbon fiber has a highly ordered structured "grain". Sort of bridging the traditional ivory handles of old knives and the new high-tech handle materials. I may get a ebony or wait for another run of the buffalo horn Mnandis since I highly doubt if carbon fiber Mnandis will ever happen.
