I've been watching Frontier House on PBS the last two Tuesday nights, just wondering if anyone on here has? It's about 3 families that are sent back in time to 1883 as frontier homesteaders in Montana, they have to do everything authentic to the period.

One of the families had to build their log home, using axes, saws, period tools, etc. I was trying to figure out what type of axes they were using for squaring logs and such. One of the axes looked alot like a GB Swedish Broad axe.
It's a very good series, the 3rd and final part will be aired next Tuesday (2/25). It's made me want to go build a log cabin in my backyard, I may have to upgrade my wildlife hatchet though.
