Thinking of having my VG and (if I get it) my Desperado done. What does is cost to have the serrations removed?

My biggest conncern is edge holding. Is the temper affected? Are the grinds really uneven? Is the edge thin enough to cut, but still reasonably (as reasonably as AUS8A can get) strong?

No search feature so I can't look it up myself.
