I saw a nice scan of what I believe is a Steve Tarani designed Strider Kerambit and asked for the price but no one has replied yet.
Can anyone comment?

Good question, I was wondering that myself. I'm very
interested in this knife.

Psych,
Sorry don't know your real name...but, at BLADE Duane and Mick commented that the cost analysis has not yet been completed for this little beauty. When THAT is done they should be able to generate something in the way of pricing - so hold on and I'm sure btw the ginding and filling orders they will come up with something. I hope so anyway...since I already have these babies on order - they are NASTY and effective in the right hands!
Take Care,
Joe;)
p.s. in the meantime you could always order the Kerambit tape from Creative Concepts that Steve Tirani did. Let me know if you need the number!

I talked to Monique last week and she said there still working on the price. Also if you are interested in the new video's shot me an email. I have about 15 of them.

Creative Concepts (ask for Sandra) is the official site for his tapes featuring the Kerambit and bad guys in SK shirts! There are actually 3 different videos and Sandra has a deal on them!

Actually there is a new Tarani Kerambit tape out. Randal16-1 is an official distributor for these (I just got my copy from him this weekend).

I like this tape a lot. In it, Steve show a kerambit that looks a lot like the Strider version (maybe this was the prototype?) There are Strider training knives in it and you can't miss the Strider logo in large format in the corner of the room. This tape also has moves that are not included in the original 3 tape series (BTW Randal16-1 appears in these tapes as one of Steve T's training/demo partners).

I handled the Strider/Terani Kerambit quite a lot at the Blade Show, they ROCK! I was also lucky enough to get a t-shirt and the new video from Sandra. I understand the Kerambit much more than i did before. The Strider/Terani Kerambit is a winner!

Thanks for the information. I study Mande Muda Penjak Silat. I don't need any tapes yet because I have a real, live jagabaya to teach me kerambit.

Hope they can do price analysis soon.

PsychRN,

Great martial art you have chosen to study. I train with Steve Tarani in the Mande Muda system. Are you training with the Sawanda family over there??

The Karambit tapes are base off the Mande Muda System.

I attended two of a three day seminar with Ibu Rita, in Honolulu. Hopefully, I might train in Indonesia someday...I hear Herman Suwanda's younger brother is quite skilled too. But to answer your question, the Suwanda family is based in Indonesia and certified instructors like Jagabaya Tarani are few and far between.

Anyone have a picture of the Strider ST (or is it the TK?) I have heard a great deal about it but have not seen any pictures.
