Hey everyone!

Iv been eye balling a CF Inkosi with the Insingo blade in the small frame but thats alot of money to throw down and I don't have anywhere local to handle one!

Any of you guys/gals love it?! I'm afraid it might be too small from some threads I read about the Inkosi being smaller then the 21.

Any info or personal experience would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I don't specifically have the CF version, but have a small inkosi insingo. The knife is noticably smaller than the small 21, to the point where I really enjoy the small 21 and find it's a perfect size for me, but everything about the small inkosi i find cramped and uncomfortable.

I have had both and kind of feel the same way. The small 21 is perfect. The Inkosi is a bit cramped.

+3. I really did like the small Inkosi for what it was, but ultimately it felt too small and I sold it to pick up a small 21 (the perfect small EDC in my book).

I will say I was expecting the small Inkosi to be the same size as a small 21, and it wasn't. Buying one knowing the size difference may have altered my perception a bit.

+4. Small Inkosi is too small. I was hoping the small inkosi would fill the size need of the medium sebenza, but it doesn't.

I'll be the voice of dissent. :) I think the Small Inkosi is a great size. I prefer the drop point over the Insingo, though.

I had a Small Insingo Inkosi in CF and, while I was extremely impressed with it (the weight was crazy light, it was super well-made, etc.) I found I just preferred the drop point blade and a full titanium handle. It just feels "better" that way.

I find that my Small Inkosi in drop point makes my Small Insingo 21 feel like the fabled "Medium Sebenza" comparatively. What I mean is once you get used to the smaller size of the Inkosi, the 21 suddenly feels medium-sized.

When I first held a small Inkosi I thought it was too small. A year later I got one and now (almost 2 years on) I really like it, enough to get a micarta inlay. I carry a small Inkosi most days but now rarely carry a small 21.

I did some hard cutting through thick vines with a small 21 and a small Inkosi and the Inkosi was much more comfortable with higher force cuts.

The inlays add a little to the girth. Not much but it is noticeable.

I do not have large hands so YMMV.

Awesome feedback! I really appreciate it. Do you guys have any side by side comparison pics? Is the Insingo blade not that popular?!

Thank you guys again for the awesome feedback!

Here is a picture of the Insingo family, minus the large inkosi. Tried to line up the pivots as best I could, and excuse the cat hair on the desk. It's not much that the small inkosi is smaller than the small seb, but the difference is important and noticable, imo. It's basically the difference between my pinky having a solid grip, and hanging off the back trying to grab onto the lanyard. YMMV, of course.

Your pictures are not showing for me.

Speaking of the small Inkosi, mine arrived today. Before bidding for it on the auction site, I had not realized it was smaller than the Small Sebenza 21. I thought it was the same case but with different cutouts. No matter, it's fine. What I really notice is the smoothness when opening the blade and the ease of opening the frame lock. The washer and clip modifications make a substantial difference in the feel of the knife.

Thanks guys!

Does CRK warranties transfer with the new owner?

Can't believe that a barely .25mm difference can throw the whole feel of the knife off. I wonder why they didn't keep it the same length as the small Sebenza

I got a small Inkosi - basic drop point with titanium handle - 2 years ago
When I got it I though sending it back as it felt too small and uncomfortable to me
Now it is my main EDC and I don’t carry my small 21 more than a couple of time a year (by the way I should think to sell it:))

Remove the lanyard and it improves the ergonomics IMHO

The small 21 is now for me too much on the medium size while the small Inkosi is a really compact edc
