My wife just came back from shopping. Went by a jewelry store and the owner’s husband was selling a few of his traditionals.
Anything that I should go back and look at? See anything special? I know that so much of knife buying is personal preference.
If you see anything, what would be a fair price?
A couple look like they would make decent little dress knives.
Not looking to turn anything. These would be for my own use.

I like the Case trappers. I like the appaloosa bone and the black horn, if that is horn. I guess it depends if you like them and the asking price.

Funny, those are the two that stood out to me also.

To prevent you having any guilt about not picking up one of these beautiful knives you need to rush back to the store and buy all of them.

That way you don’t need to decide which ones you like.

Just as a point of fact, those Moore Makers weren't made in Texas. Moore Maker makes some of their tools in Texas, but their knives have always been contracted out, i.e., Camillus, Queen, Canal Street, Bear, etc.

Forgot to mention that the Case in the bottom row with rosewood handles, probably has a serrated spey, which I find useful and a little bit rare. If I didn't already have one, I'd pick that one up depending on price.

The 6.5 bonestag looks nice, I wonder if has a Wharncliffe secondary.
Is that the one in the upper right hand corner? I like the colors/look of the scales.

No doubt David. Honestly, I like the looks of nearly everyone them. Thought about asking what’s his price on the whole lot. My problem is I have no idea what are fair asking prices on these blades. Hoping someone might chime in on that.
Glitter Gold Trapper. 🤠
It would make a good conversation piece at a party. Most of the parties I attend involve some kind of BBQ.

Thanks Mike. I did some research on those. Seems a little pricey. I like the one with the star just because I’m a Texas boy.

I like that one because of the rosewood scales. Classy. I’m a sucker for rosewood. For some reason I like rubbing my fingers on it. Is that weird? Haha.
Would look good with my Ruger MKII which has rosewood handles.

If anyone could shed some light on what prices would be fair on these I would really appreciate it.
I’ve been out of the loop on used traditional prices.
I’m not even positive where to look up these particular knives.

Yes, that's the one. I guess just to give you an upper limit estimate on value, I recently bought a new 2024 Case bonestag Wharncliffe trapper for $75. That was from one of the major mail order dealers.
