I see Kershaw is coming out with a rather large knife with a 10" D2 blade called the Outcast. I'll be curious to see how this knife rates as a large chopper. Being D2 and with all the hoopla over it, it will be interesting to see what devolops. Anyone know if it's available or is it debuting at the Blade show?

Hey Scott...

Yaa got an Outcast last week...

Sweet knife...
It's for sure a big hunk of steel.. Very comfortable in the hand...

A couple of things on it though...

The entire blade is flat ground, grinds go all the way to the spine..
Grinds were a little uneven,, no problem..

It also could use a choil so it can be choked up on..

The only thing that bothered me about the knife was the word "China" in the ricasso..
A little sandpaper took it right off..

Sheath is decent quality, however not, sure why they put a thumb break on it...

All in all a decent knive,,verty comfortable, and well worth the $60.00 greenbacks i paid for it...

China. No kidding, a flat grind on that size I guess would work but I would much rather see it convexed. I may be looking into getting one of those just because, you know it's D2 :D Thanks Eric ;)
