There are a lot of machetes out there in the same price point, it just came out and right now averages around $50, but I can't seem to find anything else with such a great sheath in that price. The sheath is super high quality, it doesn't flex or do anything, it's just awesome! The plastic is pretty thick too and the straps are top-notch.

Now the machete itself is also super awesome, I just got mine from Bladehq and it has almost a mirror edge, perfect grinds and comfy handle. The box it comes in is nice too, not that boring Ontario box my SP10 came in, although it still doesn't beat the Becker boxes, but those are so annoying to open.

This being my first machete, I want another badly, but I can't seem to find anything else that comes with a great sheath too. I don't like the leather sheaths which is a problem since most come with those. A kydex or hard plastic or nylon sheath would be my preference. I would prefer that the blade is at least 16in and at least .165 thick.

Who can pick my next machete???

For those of you wondering, the Camp 18's blade thickness is .188 or the same as my ZT 0600.

I cannot find any high carbon, full tang fixed blade that is thick and stout and has near an 18 inch blade in the 50 dollar ball park. The closest thing is a Tops Power Eagle 12 with a 12 inch blade for 160-200 dollars. I just found out these exist, and as soon as I post this reply I'm going to the bladehq website and picking one up. Wow can't wait to test this beast. Hope the steel is strong because I'm going to beat the $4!7 out of it!!!

I collect machetes, and I gotta tell you, you're pretty much not going to find anything in that price range that has a plastic sheath. As you said, the vast majority of machetes come with leather or nylon sheathes(if they come with a sheath at all), if you insist on a plastic sheath your best bet is to pick up the Condor machete(which DO come with great sheathes, but they're leather) that most appeals to you(and they have plenty of options), then find a custom sheath maker here(we have several on these forums) and have them make you a kydex sheath for it.

A kydex or hard plastic or nylon sheath would be my preference.

The Condor Eco Survivor 18" comes with a rather nice nylon sheath. It is also a very comfortable machete to use, and would complement the Camp 18 nicely, as it has a thin blade which is excellent for grasses and soft plants, as opposed to the Camp 18's heavier blade which is excellent for hardwood targets.

I think there are a few condors that would fit the bill, plus some come with thick leather sheaths.my next condor will be a barong, thicker then a standard machete,i want to rehandle it,once I figure out the tang.. good luck..
