Anyway to get Twitch without SAT or disable it?

I really like the Twitch II, but do not care for the SAT function. Especially places where anything remotely "auto" is frowned upon it is not something worth carrying. Is there anyway to disable the function altogether or to order one without the SAT?

Actually you can just take the spring out of the knife. It is a very simple procedure and you just have to remove the pivot fastener. Although, once you do this you will need to put some thread locking adhesive, such as locktite, on the screw when you reassemble it.

Alternatively, you could keep using the S.A.T, and capitalize on the opportunity to educate people about how benign the technology is and how it's nothing like a 'switchblade' at all.

If you have this conversation after whipping it out and flicking it open enough times I may eventually run into one of those formerly shocked people when I open my Twitch in public and they'll say "hey, nice knife... love that assisted opening thing... I used to think those were switchblades and they freaked me out, but not anymore".
