Anywhere to get a black blade, orange G10 ESEE-3?

Hey everybody,
I've seen the Orange G10, black-bladed ESEE-3 that was made for the RAT Pack a while ago, and would love to have a similar combination. I was wondering if there were any dealers who asked ESEE for custom runs for that same color combination, sort of like how Knifeworks has their orange-bladed Izula.
 
good luck on your quest , I think 250 were made in that combo

buy you a Black ESEE3 and Dale makes custom G10 scales
 
Don't believe so. If you keep a lookout, you might stumble across someone wanting to let theirs go. Now I'm liking the orange G10 again. Fickle!
 
Go to the-knife-connection.com you will be able to customize one with orange grips and a black blade! :)
Im thinking about getting a 4 done like this for myself. Hope this helps!
 
Thanks for the suggestions. I had already been thinking about the custom handles at the Knife Connection, but I'm not sure about it. Everyone seems to have nothing but great things to say about their fit and performance, but one of the things I like about the ESEE-3 is the amount of knife you get with that level of compactness, so I'm not sure about getting a larger handle.
 
Bro you can get an esee 3 there! go to the customize your own esee section then you pick a black esee 3 blade then you will go back and pick orange esee 3 grips! You just gotta play around with the site but you can definatley get that combo from them trust me! :)
 
Ahh my bad man now I see what you mean. I didnt realize the handles were different shapes than the regular ones. Sorry about that!
 
black/orange rc-3mil.
I ended up buying a black rc-3mil, and found someone selling a rc-4 in tan/orange(interesting combo). So i bought the rc-4 for the scales, and swapped them out and resold the rc-4 with the rc-3's scales

Thats good to know though, i didnt know the handles were innerchangeable from the 3-4's

sorry, this one is staying with me :D

your best bet is to buy 2 knives, and swap out the scales, then resell the one. You might lose a few dollars, but you have a knife you want

You know, I think that might be the best solution for me, not having any easier alternatives at the moment.

I could get a ESEE-3MIL with canvas micarta, and an OD Green Orange G10 and switch it out. I think a green blade and canvas micarta handles would actually look pretty great together. Much better than the orange handle and green blade (in my personal opinion).
 
or - you could get the 3 mil, mail me the canvas scales, and I'd send you the G10 ones off my green 4...

I appreciate that offer, man. But when I started thinking about that interesting green blade/canvas micarta handle combination, I decided I'd just use this "problem" as an excuse to get an ESEE-3 and an ESEE-4 at once, to swap handles and keep. :D
