I got a knife from a gun show here in Fredericksburg, Va this last weekend. It does not have the Anza and year made on the side of the tang, but there can be no denying it is a Anza. It is a finger groove model with a 5 inch blade, it looks like the #705. But what was labeled on the blade where Anza normally would be is the word Alaska in all caps, this was also done on the pouch style sheath with the basic outline of the state. The man told me it had belonged to one of his relatives and was just selling for him. Can anyone tell what the Alaska label was for or was it labeled such for personal touch?
