I always wanted one of these knives and when a deal appeared on another forum went for it. I believe this is the large hunter. It came with a nice sheath and is made of unapologetically thick hollow ground chunk of file carbon steel. Took it out within the hour of opening the Priority box.

Hiked though a Hemlock forest finding a fallen tree with branches that looked right.

Used it to carve a large spindle. The sycamore was from another set and already started a few fires. The Hemlock branch has some rock hard knots which the knife handled well.

New burn in. The ANZA cut the V-notch and leveled the board off some.

Got a coal.

Micro second before flash over.

Burn!

For such a reasonably priced hand made knife I was impressed.

So who else has used an ANZA knife? Haven't tried any others but this one seems good.

Same here. The deal was good so went for it. Not the smoothest grind job I have seen but dang the knife cuts and seems to hold a good edge. I might get another one. :)

I just grabbed a sweet stag #13 in the exchange and carry it as a necker in the bush. Great thin blade for fuzzies and prep. If you're on the fence, I say go for it. Thanks for the great pics.
