Anza Knives

picked up this sweet little Anza at my area gun show this past saturday. i like it quite a bit. good ergos, good sheath, came very sharp, the wood handles are nicely finished with no gaps, no sharp points, etc. i LOVE the bowie blade shape. looks awesome IMO.

apparently this model is the "Mini Bowie" and is only available through one retailer (not sure which) and shows.

Does anybody know what is the steel used in those knives? I did some digging, and W1 and 1095 are mentioned as the steels used in files.
 
Thats a great looking knife, i really like the grinds, it looks like a mean slicer.

I really like the anza boddington fixed blade (micarta handles i think) gonna have to pick one up one of these days.

its a great slicer. mean hollow grind with a wide secondary bevel.
 
That looks really coo, especially when I saw how small it was.

Also, please tell me someone else wondered if the unfinished part could still be used as a file...
