Ya gotta remember that the reviews and passarounds are NOT done by the owners or manufacturers. They are written and done by normal folk (ok in my case maybe not normal)
As you can see me in my work clothes and control room.
COME JOIN A PASSAROUND. Just don't take my place
Here's the particulars that Melvin Purvis posted in the original passaround. More details of the passaround and reviews HERE
Overall length 8.50", blade length 4.25"
Made from a tempered file, wood laminate handles
Extra's include: Finger grooves, thumb ramp, prototype leather sheath, and custom blade markings.
Here's a link to ANZA KNIVES
I've used several Anza's and you'll not find a better, more affordable, user that also has a nice detail and cool factor. Out of the box it's wicked sharp and stays that way.
Anza has developed an etching process that allows them to use their artistic talents to putting almost any design on a knife blade.
Blade is thick and rock solid. The handle slabs are nicely detailed wood with many variations available.
I've spoken to Charlie the owner od Anza and he's a "real" guy that loves to talk bout his knives and blades in genneral.
I really have to get off my duff and post a review of several hours of chat with Charlie. He's sent me many pics of his WOW knives because I referred to one in a review as "ugly". I was referring to a micarta handle. The knife was beautiful.
Charley's a fine fellow.
He has some fantastic customs as well as my fav users the palm and skinner.
The new style sheath really complements the class of the Anza. It is a solid and rugged sheath that really looks nice. The old style sheaths were an embarassment to the knife.
The detail of the sheath is as well done as the knife. There's a solid leather spacer so that the blade doesn't slice thru the sheath.
The knife rides snugly inside the sheath with plenty of room to grab the handle.
This is my bud, Charlie. He's an avid hunter. He had a concern with the hand slipping off the handle and onto the blade. His hands are smaller than mine in the next pic. I did not share Charlie's concern. Maybe my hand fit the finger cutouts better?
