I noticed anza doesnt get a whole lot of reviews, so im going to give as extensive a review as i can.

First of all, i buy an anza at every gun show i go to so ive had extensive experience with them. My most recent was a custom model i had charlie build for me. Its basically a boddington with a clip point rather than drop point blade.

THe knife came extremely sharp with a slightly uneven edge but very shart none the less. I requested blade blueing which it had thought it didnt stick as well on the rest of the handle. The handle was attached firmly with epoxy and there were absolutely no gaps between the handle and the tang. First thing i did was cut up some cardboard. I cut up three big boxes with little dulling of the edge. Then, i cut some rope which again did little damage to the edge. I did notice some scratching in the blueing though i wasnt concerned about it. Then, i utilized it in the kitchen and it performed very well. After the use cutting apples, i noticed some rusting on the edge and i promptly removed it with my strop and some polishing compound.

all in all the knife is excellent. I recommend having charlie build you one and get the blueing. Ive noticed that without it, the blades tend to rust extremely fast. for the money, a great buy.

A couple of years ago, I was looking for a little camp knife. The kind of thing I could take camping, slice some tomatoes over a flat rock, chop, really bang up, and not worry too much if I lost it. The kid in the knife store that I was in asked me if I was familiar with htse knives made form old files, that might be just what I needed. I picked out a little 3" blade (can't remember waht I paid for it, but it couldn't have been to high-priced, or I would't have bought it). Well, it does just waht I wanted, you can bang the crap out of it, and it still keeps going. The edge doesn't dull too fast, and you can touch it up in the field pretty easily.

I will say, though, that the blades do rust easily. In fact, so easily that you would think that they were made form old files or something!!! :D

In short, as metacarpels said--excellent knives. I do appreciate the review, as I didn't know that you could get em customized. Definately worth thinking about.

I participated in a passaround of an Anza F4 (i think) a while ago. Got to play with one for a week. I gotta say, these are nice knives! It did everything I asked it to and when it came time to sharpen it, it took an edge that was very sharp. I'd certainly get one and since my birthday is coming up, I think one is already mine. So yeah, I'd agree with you. A worthy knife to have and use hard.

My $.02.....

I also bought a version of a TW (Teenie Weenie :D ) at a gun show here in AZ. Liked it alot....so I entered a raffle for the California fire victims awhile ago, and I won the massive bowie made from a truck spring! It is 21 1/2" long and weighs 3 1/2#!!! .
Then I had Charlie make a custom F4...black canvas micata, lanyard loop, brass bolster/spacer,etc. I'll tell you, I even had him make me a kitchen knife! It is an awesome slicer!

He makes an excellent tool at a very fair price.

Not afilliated...just impressed.
