I'm about ready to look for an assisted opener in the under 150.00 price range

Anyone have favorites in this category?

Has anyone tried the CRKT Crawford Natural? If so, what is your opinion?

Some AO knives I have had, in the lower price range, include Kershaw Leek, Kershaw Whirlwind, Kershaw Cyclone, Camillus Heat, and a few assorted others.

I have been doing my research and I think the next knife I will buy is a SOG Trident, I like this color and the price is good on amazon

If you can find one, and I'm sure there are a few out to be found, and that would be a Kershaw G-10 Tyrade. Black, orange, or tan G10, thick ss liners, and a 154CM/CPM D2 blade, and all for less than $100.

It's a good knife, you;ll be happy with it, the cord cutter isn't that useflul, but the knife is pretty good.

I have a tanto trident... i would recommend a plain edge. other than that advice it is a great knife, sharpens up like a razor. got mine 2 years ago and not an issue yet.

only got to handle one but i like rj martins ao's... they are wicked

My favorite large assisted opener is the ZT 301. New, it is out of your price range but I have heard of them selling as cheap as around $150 on the secondary market. Most knives of this quality, and materials used are double the price that this knife sells for. Amazing bang for your buck.

If you haven't made a decision yet, consider the Kershaw Boa. A nice big knife, and it falls within your price range.

A couple of my favorites are the ZT0350 and the G-10 Tyrade. Both are available for less than $150.

if you can find it i suggest the Kershaw Tyrade G10.i jsut got 1 a week ago, awesome blade

I have one.
Nice knife, really strong KICK(stronger than ZT, other Kershaws or Sogs), but it too damn heavy. It's like 10 oz!!!
And the lock - while being 1/10inch thick is not perfect.

If you can afford it - get a ZT.

Kershaw Tyrade. Became an instant favorite right out of the box.
My mostest, favoritest things in a folder.:) BIG and AO.:D

I don't know what you consider to be large, but you should check out the benchmade 912.

3.7" D2 blade, G10 handle, titaniam liners and best of all; Benchmades "Nitrous assist". The "Nitrous assist" is integral to the liners, not just a couple of coil springs.

The Benchmade 912 is my current carry knife. It's BY FAR my favorite assisted opening knife.
