The following features are a GO on the Bolo project.

1) Satin
2) BM Size Category
3) Plain Edge
4) Willow Point
5) still undetermined
6) Logos included

The following issues are being worked on right now and are open to suggestion...

7) Handle Color - right now, we are exploring a decorative canvas micarta, but will also consider solid black and solid tan canvas or linen micarta...which do you like?

8) Price Point - no need for too much input here, but we are going to do a promotion for the first 30 days where an incentive will be available....knife price will be a little more than a Battle Mistress during the incentive period!!!! Yes, it's TRUE!!!

9)Surprise option.....no new news on this yet, but it will be available at an extra cost.

A prototype is coming for pics and orders. Stay tuned.

Black handle or maybe a Camo pattern if it came out alright.
Black would more than likely look the best.

Any idea when the first ones would ship?
I'm thinking about a Christmas present for myself.

Bring on the BUSSE BOLO!

A quick interjection...delivery will be WAY before Christmas, so no worries there.

How 'bout scales with a little Irish flare? Black AND Tan

Cammo Handle.

If i had my way a low ride leathe sheath from kenny and as an option a scaled down version of the mean street, riding tandem with the big one.
Great for peeling apples and oranges.

Sounds pretty good to me Andy.

Unfortunatly, i simply cannot afford it. Oh well, maybe one day.

Btw, i htink this is my 300th post. I'm glad it's in the busse forum.

8)done. I buy.
9)ditto

Will partial serrations be available as an option or will this be a uniform run?

I like Strabs idea. A layered black and tan handle would look great.

come to think of it... tan linen micarta sandwiched between some black canvas micarta scales would look awesome! It'd probably make the project a bit more time consuming and costly though...

Damn... I was really looking forward to getting one of these but I am not happy with the satin finish. Black handle and kydex sheath "MAY" be a redeeming factor, but more than likely I will have to pass due to the non-coated blade.

Orion,
If you really like everything else about the design, maybe you could purchase one and get the blade coated by Jerry after the fact. I don't know if this can be done or not, but Andy sure is friendly and efficient when answering these types of questions.
