APALS Air Mini Strobe - info and pics

I found and interesting safety product that some might be interested in. It's the APALS Air LED mini strobe lights. These came in a pack of two for about $10 shipped. There comprised of a envelope made from stick back on one side and reflective material on the other. The LED strobe and battery source are on a circuit board that can be removed from the envelope for replacement.

Here I put mine on a piece of velcro for attaching to hats, packs and jackets.

With a claim of 1/4 mile visibility and fast strobe, slow strobe and constant on I think these are nice light weight signaling devices.

I plan on getting more and keeping a couple in all my packs. They also come in other color strobes and I think they have a IR strobe as well.

Look intersting. I've been using a strobe that requires AA's. I keep it on the roof of the truck when tracking animals. This would work for the people I am with as some of them tend to get lost at night in the woods.
