I was finally able to head outdoors the other weekend. It was real nice after being cooped up in my new apartment in the city.

Now regarding Santa Moose's Remora he sent out, I debated on what to do with it.... Do I keep it for myself and have two! Should I host a "I need to start more threads to get my BH# giveaway? Then it hit me.... My little lady might appreciate a little Becker. So I ordered up some purple paracord and surprised her with it one weekend. She thought it was cute to have a little Becker with a purple lanyard. It was snatched up, never to be heard form again....

Brown County state park has a bit to offer and it was a nice little drive out there.

My fiancee and I drove down more or less to look around a bit, but ended up hitting a few of the shorter trails. One of which was around a small lake. It had been cool, but it was in the 40's this day, so it was real nice to just go outside and bum around.

On the little trail, I realized that it would be a perfect time to snap a Becker picture. So I pulled out my constant companion, the mighty and much overlooked BK-13 Remora and was able to snap the perfect shot (with our little point and shoot digital).

Somewhere in between her shaking her head at me and me checking the pictures I just snapped, I heard a "Thack!" I looked up to see this....

:D Turns out, she was packing around a mini Becker too. We both like this "his & hers" picture. I think it needs to be printed out and used during the reception.

Oh, and thanks Santa Moose!

Hahah funny little story bud. I'm glad she's diggin the remora and congrats on the impending nuptials!

Thanks for the pictures and the his and hers shot cracked me up

Pretty cool Jerry, You wernt very far from my place, wife and I took the kids on that very trail one nice day we had about two months ago. Did you go to the big woods brewery while you was there? Thats my favorite! Also, have you ever checked out the other park they have in brown county, Yellowood state forest, its worth going to. Good hiking and lake for fishing/boating. Most visiters to the area stay around the state park that you were at and the town. Yellowood is off the beatin path and not as popular with the visitors meaning that its never crowded. My wife and I have been there several times that we have never passed another person. very peacefull! Dont expect to keep your car clean getting in there though. Theres no paved roads and if the waters up you have to drive through a couple of creeks to get there.

I love the 13, I own 3 of em, and will probably grab a few more. My gf edc's one religiously, and keeps an extra in her edc pack. They are just plain handy.

Sadly, I had no beer $ to spend. :( We drove right through Nashville even. It is still on my short list of nearby breweries to stop in at.

Thanks for the tip on Yellowood. I haven't heard of that one. It sounds a little more up my alley. We are hoping to get back down there this weekend if the weather cooperates and hit some of the longer trails. We missed a nice chance last Sunday.
