This a new Prototype I just finished up. I am calling it the A.P.B. or All Purpose Bowie.
This is a dressed up one with stabilized curly Koa, a tapered tang and O1. I will probably do a more utility grade version in 5160 with micarta in the future.
The Koa is hand finished to 2500grit (no buffer here!) and has super character and chatoyancy that is very hard to capture on camera. The liners are black G10, and the pins are carbon fiber w/ a copper tube.
The OAL is 9" w/ a 4.75" blade.
I am still learning how to make shiny knives, so bear with me! :D
I attached a video to try and capture the Koa a bit better.
Thanks for looking!

Very impressive. I'm looking at this knife and drooling a little bit like when I look at the Paranee Fighter that Nick Wheeler created. It is very understated in a gentlemanly way. Nicely done!

that is a great looking, heavy duty ass knife you made there my friend.

VERY NICE BEN!!!

I love the color and finish combinations. A very tough but elegant piece. And super clean! :)

The nail coils as a background is great too.

Thanks guys, I am slowly trying to push my boundaries on fancier (for me) knives.

Thanks Nick, next up is a W2 Kwaiken. It will be my first Hamon (attempt!) and first Japanese style blade. Should be fun.

Ben, I LOVE that blade. You have a natural eye for those handle contours, I'm glad you've started to make 'em.
You're gonna do a passaround for this one, right? ;-)

Sure Daizee, do you need my Paypal address. :D

Here are a couple shots of the sheath.

Beautiful design, Ben.

Is there anywhere non-Facebook fans can go to see your other creations?

Thanks Bronco!
Facebook is what I keep up to date. I have a website but it is not complete yet. Facebook is a very convenient way to see all of my available knives, projects and shop pics, all in one place. You don't have to be a member to look around.

Thanks for commenting Mike, I am a fan of your work.
