apex edge pro angle adjustments ?

Does the pivot go below or above the angle mark on the shaft? I red the manuel and watched the tape, but it is very possible I missed it som-how. Whats the correct way to do it ?

If you are resharpening an existing edge, use the marker method in the instructions to set the angle so material is being evenly removed off the edge. If you are reprofiling it doesn't make much difference as long as you are consistent. For example place the pivot just below the marks each time and you'll always have the same angle. Who cares if it is 20 degrees or 21 degress?
