Part of the reason for the response you received is that when you type in ALL CAPS it is considered YELLING on the net.

Just so you know.

Also if you ever have a gripe with a maker or what have you, please make you post in "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" forum.

Thanks!

Thanks for you apology Hammerheadknives. It shows a lot of class and takes courage.
We all take our knives and our posts a little to seriously sometimes. By the way, Please don't use all caps, it hurts my eyes.

I was thinking about this whole subject while doing my ironing (well, I can't very well play with my knives -- I'll either burn or cut myself). Shouldn't this sort of thing be in Knife Reviews, rather than GB&U? You know, something along the lines of (Disclaimer -- the following is meant solely for the entertainment of our BladeForums audience. Any similarity to actual knifemakers or any BF member other than myself is purely coincidental):

Not only does the fit and finish of Mr. Svirsky's knives betray his utter lack of mechanical aptitude, his work demonstrates a complete lack of artistic vision; Mr. Svirsky's designs are clearly derivative of the early Ginsu steak knives.

In other words, let's lighten up folks. Artistry is rarely original; it builds upon past efforts, successful or otherwise. Would you want a world where there was only one Expressionist painter?

Ditch the caps lock and learn what the shift keys are used for...

You know, I'm wondering about the caps thing. Is it possible the person doesn't have a shift key, that it always comes out in caps? Don't some devices that are capable of comm'ing with the internet work like that? Is this a waste of my time? Who am I? Why am I here.......

I got tired of having to type in "Outlaw_Dogboy" every time I posted. For some reason, when I clicked the "remember id" option in my preferences, it just wouldn't take. So, I found myself continually typing in O_D, and got tired of it. Although rockspyder isn't a lot better, at least I don't have to keep searching up on the symbol line of the keyboard to get that dang underscore.

Plus, there was the big push for M4K, so I thought I'd make like a Vampire Gerbil.

I mean no particular disrespect, but I am automatically prejudiced against any syntax-challenged, all-caps post. This is not to say my first impression is never incorrect, but too often those sorts of posts are the rantings of either the very young or the very immature. Rarely do they contain anything worth absorbing.

And tomorrow when you wake up it will be worse.
