My apologies to all. I took offense at what I thought were unfair remarks and reacted in a petty manner. Two members were good enough to point out to me what I had done.
As an apology to the whole membership I am going to run a drawing for two knives.

1. The first prize is a Tom Mayo TNT in Talonite. This is truly a beautiful knife. Those of you who know his work know that his work just keeps getting better. I am not sure how to explain it but his style and execution gets both more practical and more beautiful. To tell you how good this knife really is, I bought it about six months ago for a contest. It is so beautiful that I hated to part with it so I just kept it.

2. The second prize is a Talonite knife from One Stop Knife shop. onestopknifeshop.com It is the Rob Simonich Talonite knife (Cam-Tal1 In Talonite from Camillus and designed by Rob Simonich with the retail price of $246.99)

Thanks for the contest. Those are both truly impressive prizes!

I'm in on this contest for sure! I'm not sure what happened to cause this, but thanks for the contest.

I'll put my name in the hat, too.

"... and reacted in a petty manner. Two members were good enough to point out to me what I had done."

Don't be too hard on yourself. I have a wife who fulfills (frequently) the same role on my behalf..
:footinmou

Thanks for the contest,
Robert

How the deck do they get talons from birds of prey, and how the heck does a guy forge a sack of talons into a billet to get talonite????

Having never seen/smelled/touched/tasted/heard talonite in person, I sure hope I win this one!

Hey, that Simonich guy can't win his own knife, can he? :D

This is a very classy thing to do, by the way. :)

Sure, count me in. My e-mail address is available on the button/link, below.

Post anything I like? O.K., here's a quotable quote for everyone (certainly including myself here) who's ever said something, online or elsewhere, that they kind of wished they hadn't:

"Speech is conveniently located midway between thought and action, where it often substitutes for both." - John Andrew Holmes
