APostleP Review of Slysz Bowie

Yeah, that was a good summary. I think it almost should have been a right-side only clip, given how right-hand oriented the opening is; but lefties can spyder-flick it open (my preferred method) so it's still functional. As long as you've got one solid, reliable method of one-handed opening, that's sufficient. Even on the lock-side, it beats a nail-nick. ;)
 
I find him to be annoying at times but that was a good overview. I'm definitely sold on these.

Still can't figure out how people can do an in depth review on a knife cutting nothing but magazine paper. Call it a first impressions or something else...a review it is not.

I was a bit put off by ApostleP as well. This was the second review from him where I was annoyed right out of the gate. Regardless, I am liking the SB a little more. Thanks for the heads up on this vid MementoMori99.

You are very welcome. FYI, the SB in the video is actually mine. With the exception of the comments made about left-handed handling which I can not relate to, I am pretty much in agreement with Rob's opinions about the SB.

At less than 20 minutes, that was quick by AP standards; he used to get up to 30 on a semi-regular basis ;) . I don't mind long videos, myself. If it gets tedious, I hit stop. He can be annoying, but I've gotten used to the Mr. Rogers-meets-FDR-routine, and he doesn't come close to the annoyance-levels generated by Nutnfancy.
 
Not a fan of ApostleP.

I like reviewers like cutlerylover and WeAllJuggleKnives. To the point and they keep their personal beliefs out of it.

That knife got flicked open more times in 20 minutes than all 4 Spydies of mine in their lifetimes combined. Well the first 8 minutes I made it through actually.
 
I guess some people have short attention spans. I thought it was a great review and watched more "TheApostleP" reviews. I like the fact that he disassembles the knives before reviewing and he has experience in machining and tooling. Unlike most YouTube "reviewers" he is not afraid to criticize knives even if they are from a company he generally likes (see his Manix 2 XL review for an example).
 
I saw the review and because of the limited access for lefties to the Spydie hole, I choose not to bother for a forefinger or middle-finger flick. If I were a righty I'd be compelled to buy it...I think.
I am an ApostleP fan. He tells it as he sees it and not swayed by others opinion. He did a fair review on my BM 710-1401 which I sent to him for a super sharpening.
Keep those reviews coming Rob.

I can not handle the guy. I tried to watch the video because it is a Spyderco, but he sounds like a know-it-all prick. He reminds me of Jr college "professors".
 
I'm a subscriber to the ApostleP channel, and I regularly watch his videos. I don't always agree 100% with everything he says, but I feel he's pretty fair and honest in his impressions and 'from the sharpening bench' commentary. I also like a lot of the videos he has that shows some of his sharpening and maintenance/tinkering of different knives.
 
Looks like a Nice design Memento. Haven't had a chance to hold one yet.

I think ApostleP's reviews are better than most. Clear and concise. Your folder may be impregnated though.:p
