Just picked these up from Lowes today. Made out of some mystery stainless steel. Fit and finish is awesome though and they came decently sharp out of the package. I ran them across the DMT a few times and they are now good slicers. The lockback is a jigged bone and the trapper is delrin. No blade play, good snap. Now, let's see how well they hold an edge. Anyone else have experience with this knife brand?

the trapper's scales look an awful lot like the sawn delrin that shrade has on its old timer line. possibly the same manufacturer?

no experience with this brand, looks like a potential good deal though, depending on how they are holding an edge.

I read on line that they are distributed by L G Sourcing, Inc., a subsidiary owned by Lowes.

My nephew has one of their tactical/liner lock style knives. It seems be be a copy of a Gerber or Kershaw. Can't remember exactly which. I do remember that the fit and finish on that one was less than stelar.

The knives you have there seem to have better grinds and look better overall than the one I've actually handled. I didn't know they offered slippy's. Odd that the shields are upside down.

Keep us posted as I'm looking for an imported Stockman to beat the tar out of :p. I might have to run by Lowes tomorrow.

So far so good. The edge held up pretty good through this. As you can see, it still slices paper with ease. I can tell that it didn't lose much edge compared to my China model OT Buzz Saw Trapper:thumbdn: which I put through a similar test.

Not bad by the looks of it! I like the looks of the lockback, I may have to give them a look.

I had one of their liner lock tactical knives (the one that looks like a Gerber AR 3.00, black plain blade), and the lock went after a week of very light use on it. The pivot also went fairly quickely. I returned it, and decided that I probably wouldn't buy that brand again. However, the do sell a little bone handle pen knife that looks interesting.

The little single blade pen knives have glued on handles which separate with carrying (the pins are not peened to hold them on). There are better choices out there in the same price range.

The square corners on the front bolsters on the lockback are usually not a good sign. I associate that with Pakistani manufacturing. Where are these made?

The package read MADE IN CHINA. The quality is a lot higher than Pakistani steel. I would compare them in quality to the same as Marbles imported folders.
