applegate-fairbairn knife

does anyone make a good, modern version (made for actual use not as a collectors item, and out of modern materials) of this knife? I found one by sheffield, does anyone have experience with it?

Do you mean the Fairbairn-Sykes dagger or the later Applegte-Fairbairn one. Haven't seen a Shefield made AF knife and their FS knives are mostly rubbish. If you want a good FS then go to www.nzknives.com for the best, be prepared to pay though. The Boker AF knife is available in a bunch of different blade styles, it seems an OK knife for the money.
