I have what looks like an original Applegate Fairbairn with the green handle one hex nut and hole at top, regular signatures on the blade, AL Mar stamped on the blade and the red box all on the one side of the blade. On the opposite side of the blade where the serial number would be is stamped SEKI-JAPAN. It has the stock black leather sheath with 4002 stamped on it's back. This obviously is a production run made in Japan. I inherited it from my father-in-law after his death. So my question is who made it and when, also what steel is used in the blade.
