...For suspect status...

I've finally ordered an Emerson, a waved CQC-7B. I've lurked on this forum for a while and a comander has been on my to-buy list for a long time. I first got interested in Emersons because the knife I carried everywhere before I saw the light of knife-knut-dom was a CQC7B knockoff. I was young, foolish and didn't know any better, But I loved the simplicity and effectiveness of the design. I've wanted an emerson for about a year now, since I became a knife knut, but I've been put off by all the BS that goes around this forum about emerson's QC, and it took me a while to overcome the anti-linner lock prejudice too. What finally made me take the plunge is a mini CQC-7B I saw in a local B&M store. Fit and finish was great and the design was perfect, I just needed a little more size. So basically I've wanted one for a year and needed to acctualy hold one to overcome my denial :). So Have I repented enough from my sins of the past to be accepted into the fold???

Brother William,

You have made the first steps down the path that leads to financial poverty, but Suspect Heaven (and it really IS suspect!!!) :D , watch out for the next Emerson arriving and keep away from the customs (or be prepared to be trampled in the rush of some people around these parts).

As part of you application can you please confirm that you are not allergic to Goats and please publish a full list of your sins for out contemplation (and gneral amusement)?

Regards,

Ed

Test:

1) I think about Emerson knives: A) First thing in the morning B) Last thing at night C) During sex D) Most waking and sleeping moments E) All of the above

2) For an Emerson custom I would give up: A) my in-laws B) My overtime pay C) 5 years of patience D) One of my kids E) All of the above

3) The words "new" and "Emerson" in the same sentence make me: A) Drool B) Sweat C) have heart palpatations D) almost makes me do something I only usually do with my spouse/signifant other E) All of the above

You must answer "E" to all of the above to be a Suspect young Jedi. If so, welcome aboard, you poor bastid!

Scott,

What is overtime pay, I do not understand the concept and am therefore unable to give it up. Being able to give it up may help me to get those customs that currently escape me.......

Also should the last question relate to old Emersons rather than new ones?

Regards,

Ed

Brother William,
Welcome to the Family,Now throw away your wallet, because any extra $$$ you might have will be gone:D

I would cut off my left nostril, lacerate my liver, continue to buy Emersons at the ungodly pace of one per day[Another Specwar, Raven, Mach 1,a pair of commanders, SARK and a P-SARK] (so far just productions UNTIL Vegas) and to become the OFFICIAL story teller for the Suspects I would even INVITE TRUSTY to have a BEER:eek:   Now, I am on my knees, passeth the cup so I may taste the "juices" of the Usual Suspects......RESPECTFULLY submitted, this the Seventh Day of january in the year two-thousand and one, so help me ANYONE!!! Even TUSTY:eek:   wolf

I wanted to become a Suspect, until I saw the previews of
the new movie Kung Pow. Those cows look awful vicious.
I think I might be able to handle the goat, but the cow scares
me.
A wanna-be Suspect:eek:

I read some past threads about the goat thing, do prior livestock experiences count? :)

William,

As we have said before, full discolsure is a requirement for prior convictions to be taken into account.

Wolf - keep up the good work after the last week and we may transfer our story sympathy to you rather than the Gin-man. Offical story-teller is a position of great responsiblity (and third party insurance to cover acidents incurred while reading said stories).

Regards,

Ed
