Just a note to ring in for those of us who appreciate the tradtional lines Boker puts out. Keep it up!

I have three Boker slipjoints in stag, a whittler, congress, and canoe, with carbon steel blades, plus an older barlow in delrin. Today my Stag handled, fixed blade, 519HH came in the mail. A very nice, compact knife that I'm very pleased with. My only dislike is that the edge on the integral guard is a little sharp against the finger. Nothing a few licks with a file won't fix.

These fixed blades are Arbolitos, made in Argentina, and my first Boker made there. Good knife, great stag, really good price!

So Boker, keep making traditional knives with tradtional handles. Please!

Forgive the scan quaility, but here is the 519HH that is now hanging on my belt.

Just got an AG Russell Barlow and a Burnt Chimney single blade trapper. Both of which, I understand, are made by Boker. These things are nice. Really nice. I keep looking at their Arbolito fixed blades, might just have to try 'em one of these days.

I really like the shape of some of the small and medium fixed blades they produce - but I really wish we could see more slab & pinned stag + carbon steel (1095) fixed blades from Boker. When it comes to slippies, I buy pretty much focus on Boker's 1905 blade knives (the Jigged Red Bone, Green Bone, and Grand Canyon are my favs) and Queen's D2 "winterbottom" series knives (and now te few 1095 Canoes). Good steel & nice worksmanship for the $$.

I liked the above 519HH so much I also picked up a 520HH. The 519HH is companioned on a belt with a Ruger New Vaquro stainless in .357 Mag. The belt hangs from the bed post by my side of the bed. It's a nice bit of kit as they say. Someday soon I'm going to get going on some testing of these and a few other knives I really want to work out. Dont anyone hold their breath, but when I do get around to it I'll post some impressions.

I've also been looking at the Queen Bone Stag light hunters in D2. Some classic and classy fixed blades there too.

I like the Boker stag a lot. It has a more honey golden tone to it that I like. I have three other Boker folders in stag, a whittler, a medium stockman, and a canoe, all in carbon steel. To be honest though, I have the hardest time sharpening Boker's carbon steel than I do any others. I also have a Boker candy strip stockman on the way.

I hope Boker keeps making traditional knives for a good while. I used to like the classic lines of BMW motorcycles, but the new ones, regardless if they are touring, enduro, or performance bikes all look like something from a sci-fi flick.

Not knocking the tactical guys, but it's good to see some traditional Boker pattern afficienados here.

I went and done it. Picked up a Burnt Chimney, MOP, single blade trapper. I'm hoping this one will be as nice as I've heard others say about their BCs. I also understand they are made by Boker. Now for the wait until it gets here.
