Here is a picture of two of the knives my brother sent me. Are these apprentice knives? Neither one is marked. Both will probably be up for sale soon. The bottom knife has a rubberized handle.
Let me know what you think they're worth.
My brother advised me he purchased these from either Jerry or Tom Wheeler at a Dayton Ohio gunshow many years ago.

tgiannes, I'm not sure, I was hoping someone would let me know their thoughts.
If there's no interest in them here, I may post them for sale on another forum or ebay.

Brules1---My Beater should be here on Friday---Red GW. But I'll do more slicing than beating---I think!!

Brules, just put them up for sale and see what happens. You're already a gold member, it's not like it's gonna cost you anything extra.

Do a search for previous apprentice blade sales, base your price on that and I bet they sell.

Just keep in mind, apprentice blades are less valuable, not more valuable than regular Busse's - you're not gonna be able to retire off this sale! :p :p :p

I sold a couple of apprentice blades before, so I know I won't be quitting my day-job.
I just don't know what these two are worth.
Thanks...

Brules, I had two of the exact same knives, even down to the pool step traction handles on the little one that I bought at Bill Goodman's in Dayton. My large one had micarta though. The little one is gone to parts unknown. Jerry Busse told me the name of the guy that made the large one, I wrote it on the cardboard sheath, and promptly sold it to another HOG at Blade last year. I think I sold it to Old Physics but maybe I have my names wrong. Kinda hard to remember who is who with screen names. I don't remember exactly how much I sold it for but I mention Old Phsics because he might be able to read the name of the maker off the sheath.

My brother bought these at Bill Goodmans shows in Dayton in the early 1990's, they were either purchased from Jerry or Tom Wheeler. Busse use to have a table at the gunshow in the left rear of the room, IIRC.
I'll post these on the for sale site tonight...
