Hey guys,

I own a Spyderco Sharpmaker with the additional diamond and ultra fine rods, and want to use it to reprofile a Spyderco CPM S30V blade.

Been hearing good feedback of the Congress Tools' RUBY and MOLDMASTER stones.
Anyone familiar with either type of stone, that could possibly tell me pros and cons they know about, would be very helpful.

Would also really appreciate to hear some grit recommendations that would serve me best.
My options are:

RUBY:
60
80
100
120
150
220
320

MOLDMASTER:
80
120
150
240
320
400
600

Thanks in advance.

I have no experience with those stones. To reprofile I have used a Norton SiC coarse/ fine stone and the coarse a 100 grit stone works great. DM

The moldmaster are silicon carbide I believe so a 120 and 320 would be a good progression to the brown SM rods. They will cut quickly too and have no problem with tougher steels.
